Kevin Woody, a companion of Castleberry, said his better half had the option to say a couple of separating words before Rodney died at Emory University Hospital on Thursday evening.

“I’ve spoken with Jessica, and the children, and as not out of the ordinary they’re struggling with this,” said Woody, in a meeting with CBS46 on Friday.

Castleberry contracted COVID-19 in July 2021, seven days before he was planned to have his first immunization chance.

In August, he was put on ECMO life support. Woody said he was acquiring his solidarity and going through exercise based recuperation until his last weeks.

“It’s been a long excursion, it’s been 8 months of battling,” Woody said.

“Yet, Rodney from the very first moment has faced this conflict up to his last minutes, the previous evening, he gave it all that he had and he was a warrior as far as possible.”

Woody and others held a prayer vigil outside of the emergency clinic on Wednesday evening.

Woody said Castleberry was an energetic angler, a guitar player, and a musician, and was ardent in his confidence. Castleberry leaves behind his significant other, Jessica, and two girls.

A people group of approximately 3,000 individuals has been mobilizing for Rodney on the web and all through Dawson and Forsyth Counties.
